Fifth call Launch for LIFE School Projects
15 Feb, 2023 | by RBMP Life |  The Energy and Water Agency recently launched the fifth call for LIFE School Projects on January 31st. The objective of these projects is to educate students on the importance of water conservation and encourage the better use of water resources in the Maltese Islands.
These initiatives involve an educational aspect that encourages students to actively participate in the development and implementation of the projects, raising awareness about the need to optimize water usage. The themes for this year’s projects are Rainwater Harvesting and Water Conservation, with a focus on one or both of these topics. Students are responsible for identifying the projects and conducting activities within the school and its surrounding areas. A comprehensive approach involving the entire school is encouraged for maximum impact.
Over the past five years, several schools have taken part in this initiative, with seven schools participating last year alone. The launch event marked the closure of last year’s projects and the initiation of this year’s projects.
